The Association has been initiated to provide value addition services for the development of packaging sector, innovate the packaging products with advanced technology, transformation of the packaging sectors for the global competitiveness to enter into global supply chain markets. The main objective of the Association is to integrate the packaging sector and allied industrial sectors to connect, communicate and commercialize their business ideas, innovation, invention, research and development for the local and global markets. Mr. Salunkhe has always been on the forefront to provide support to resolve issues and grievances of the manufacturing industries and taking up with the appropriate Government authorities for resolution and change in the policy frame work, its speedy implementation, develop and enhancement of various advantages, benefits & incentives of various Government schemes and policies.

Mr. Salunkhe has taken a lead to empower and strengthen packaging industrial sector with advanced technology, level playing field, securing the interest of the packaging sector in various policies, explore joint ventures, technology transfers, contract manufacturing and strategic alliance for marketing, franchise and distribution, identifying industrial land for setting up and expansion of manufacturing units in the various parts of India, connectivity with the global buyers and importers, channelise finance and investment for expansion and transformation, create an elite group of experienced and successful entrepreneurs, enterprises for export promotion, create skilled man power for quality productivity, education & training for entrepreneurs & their main work force, encourage packaging and allied industrial sectors to explore emerging opportunities in the Aluminium downstream industries to produce packaging products and machineries by replacing plastics.

Mr. Chandrakant Salunkhe has founded SME Chamber of India in 1993 to integrate SMEs, manufacturers, start-ups, suppliers, exporters, importers, service providers, heads of the mid and large corporates as well as to provide emerging platform to empower the enterprises to contribute for economic and industrial developments to achieve the dream project of Hon’ble Prime Minister to make India as a manufacturing hub, march towards “Viksit Bharat”, make India as a third largest economy, achieve export target and encourage start-ups and young entrepreneurs to enter into the manufacturing industries to brand made-in-India products for local and global markets.

Mr. Chandrakant Salunkhe as a dynamic & indomitable business activist, has also been instrumental to secure the interests of SMEs and manufacturing sector to secure the interest in the modern era of “Ease of Doing Business in India”, by changing and transforming policy frame work and its speedy implementation with the regulatory authorities and powerfully advocated to set up “SME Stock Exchange”, TReDS – Electronic platform for Trade Receivables, National Skill Development Corporation, Change of Definition of SSI to MSME Act, exclusive SME Divisions in the various State Governments and SME Desk in Indian Embassies in the various countries, Start-up India platform and collateral free financial facilities for SME sector.
